League of Lions

Basically, you could divide the project in four main elements.

1) A full-length Comic book series created with handpicked artists to create an engaging and powerful story capable of piercing the mainstream media and create a cultural following, rewarding its supporters with periodic releases and limited editions. It is also envisioned as an animated adaptation in partnership with a Web2 studio or distributor to reach an even broader audience.

2) A collection of 3D-art creating a limited supply of PFP images that are owned and distributed within the Ethereum network, doubling as a show of membership to a strong community interested in the arts, trading tools and exploration of whatever the blockchain technology entails.

3) An Interactive Storytelling experiment that will promote creativity and be the launchpad for artists and writers that want to contribute to an established lore. We are also looking to involve the community through gamified AI tools that will generate various customized outcomes in the story’s narrative depending on choices they make.

4) Incredible utilities in the Web3 space aimed at collectors, traders and artists – including gated benefits such as DAO participation, Alpha recommendations, exclusive Collaborations with other projects and Physical limited edition items. Each new release of an comic issue in the series will have additional unique rewards as well for its holders.

Interactive storytelling is a relatively new concept, so although it’s not necessarily the same for all situations, it could be used to create immersive, decentralized experiences that are powered by blockchain technology. These experiences could allow users to interact with each other and the story in real time, potentially creating a new type of entertainment that combines the best aspects of gaming, social media, and traditional storytelling.

As most creative endeavors the inspiration for League of Lions is a combination of various sources such as the creators’ personal experiences, taste, trending themes and old school comics that set the tone in terms of the animated genre back in the 80s and 90s.

The idea of humanoid cats has been inspired by other popular franchises featuring anthropomorphic animals, not least Ted Wolf’s epic tv-show ThunderCats and similar shows growing up in the 90s. Obviously, it’s hard to make a superhero team without influence from the popular works of Marvel and DC as well, ngl.

It was important to create something that appeals to many while keeping up with the sensibilities of the current trends and styles. By combining the lightheartedness in the character designs while placing them in a darker futuristic environment, we found a great balance that will appeal to both comic fans and art collectors, and remain relevant for future generations.

With that said, the true inspiration behind League of Lions will ultimately depend on the community and the direction it decides for the story going forward, making it a universal story that many can relate to. By combining many different ideas and styles from people all over the world we will be able to continue delivering a unique and engaging story. By all, for all.

We are constantly looking for members that enjoy good art and a tight-knit community. Through partnerships, collaborations and digital events we are constantly promoting our story and applications we are building. The most involved way to be part of the LEAGUE is by ownership of the PFP which will be released in Q1 2023 and will not only be a token of membership but also offer part ownership to the League of Lions ecosystem and tools.
